Finding Your RTMP Values

Once you are logged in to StageIt, click on Performer Tools from the navigation bar and then click Create a Show.

Fill out the details of your show, scroll down to the bottom and click on Additional Options, then check the box labeled Advanced: Use Desktop Client Software Such As FMLE, Wirecast Or Tricaster For Broadcasting.

Click "Go To Stage".

You will be presented with both the RTMP protocol code and the URL Stream. You will need to enter both of these values into Switcher Studio in order to stream to StageIt.

Configuring Switcher

You can create a new channel in one of two ways: Using the Online Dashboard or from Within The App.

Create A New Channel From Your Switcher Studio Dashboard

Log in to your Switcher Studio dashboard and create a new channel using the "Custom RTMP" menu.

In the "Server URL" field, enter the "RTMP protocol code" from the StageIt site.

In the "Stream Key/ID" field, paste the value from the "URL Stream" from your StageIt site. To optimize your output settings based on your internet connection speed, click "Speed Test".

Create A New Channel From Your Switcher Studio Dashboard

Launch Switcher on your iPad or iPhone.

Open the “Outputs” tab (second tab on the bottom right panel).

Select “Streaming Video Platform”. If it's already selected, tap the "i" button on the right.

Add a new channel by touching the "+" button.

In the “Server URL” field, enter the text you saw on the StageIt site, under “RTMP protocol code”.

In the “STREAM” field, enter the text you saw on StageIt site, under “URL Stream”. Tap “OK” to close the RTMP parameters window.

You are now ready to stream! Just tap “Rec + Broadcast” to start streaming. You can test your stream by clicking on the on the "Go to Stage" link on the StageIt site, and then clicking "Go Live." A link to your live show is displayed at the bottom of your stage site.
